You are about to embark on Immersion, a unique program designed to wake up your creative curiosity led by Kathryn Heyman with Margo Lanagan.

For seven weeks you’ll be a member of a group of people committed re-igniting your curiosity, reminding yourself of your courage, and forging ahead your commitment.

With structured guidance, you’ll set your intention for the week ahead. Every single day, for six weeks, you’ll receive a unique writing prompt sent to your inbox, along with inspirational tips, proven strategies and approaches to keep you on track.

On the seventh week, we’ll take time to reflect on the last six weeks and welcome our leading international literary agent for a very special Q&A webinar.

We are greatly looking forward to our time together and can’t wait to begin.

Receiving your daily prompts

Integral to this program is the daily writing prompts. Every single day, for six weeks, you’ll receive a unique writing prompt, along with inspirational tips, proven strategies and approaches to keep you on track. You can choose your preferred access – daily emails sent to your inbox or daily posts on this website. It’s your program, you work in the best fit for you. The emails and website will be updated at 6am each day, so please look out for them. (If emails don’t appear to arrive please check your spam folder.)

Come back to this website after 6am on Monday and go to Daily Prompts, where you’ll see the first of the prompts.

Weekly Zoom checkins

Every Tuesday evening we will meet online with your fellow writers from 7 – 8.30pm Sydney time (AEST). In that dynamic ninety-minute class, you will be guided through reflections, strategies and techniques carefully designed to get you immersed in your creative project.
